Day 1:Pick up from the airport, with luxury transfers to your accommodation. Arrive for two night’s accommodation at The Jacob’s Estate Cottage, a beautiful guesthouse ensconced in the grounds of the Jacobs Creek & St Hugo Estate. Enjoy a choice of dinner at local icon Vino Lokal with its selection of local tapas plates and outstanding wine collection, or we’ll organise it in-house catered to the cottage.
Day 2: Begin by immersing yourself in the tale of the Barossa with a visit to Torbreck Vintners, where you indulge in a truly remarkable experience, with a private tasting that celebrates the growers and vineyards of Torbreck, some of which date back to 1840. Then head to Elderton Wines, for a private tasting in the Duke Room of their original homestead, plus take a tour of the homestead where the Ashmead's used to live. After a lunch at Vintners Bar & Grill we'll head to the Barossa Chocolate Factory to try 5 artisan hand made chocolates and see their stunning new facility.
Day 3: In the morning we'll head off on 4WD trip to see a piece of Barossa vineyard history with a stunning drive to Steingarten Vineyard at the top of the Barossa Ranges, enjoying a glass of this most famous riesling overlooking the valley. We’ll then head to Seppeltsfield Estate for a tour of the Vasse Virgin Olive Oil and Skin Care factory to try their amazing soaps and therapeutic products, then a degustation lunch at acclaimed Fino Restaurant, which food critic John Lethlean calls the “best place for a long lunch in Australia”. Finish the afternoon in Seppeltsfield's famous Centennial Cellar, where you’ll walk along the longest lineage of single vintage wines in the world including a barrel tasting of aged port direct from the year of your birth.
