Day 1: Starting with the best of the region’s wines, you’ll enjoy a Wirra Wirra Barrel Hall tour and Old Cellar Door masterclass from industry experts, and then a quick trip up the road to experience Battle of Bosworth’s famous organic vineyards. Experience the wild coast of the Peninsula taking a 4WD cruise along Silver Sands renowned white beach, before heading to the cattle country of the Fleurieu Peninsula. Enjoy a classic Aussie BBQ lunch from a magnificent coastal lookout and then head out into the fields for a farm tour and cattle feeding. Next stop is Allusion Farm and Winery to see their Alpacas and other farm animals, walking a nature trail and taking a vineyard tour. You’ll finish off the tour with a tasting with the winemaker, a regional platter and sparkling wine, and it wouldn’t be a typical Australian tour without kangaroo spotting opportunities! Arrive for one night’s accommodation at The Coastal Lodge, an iconic bed & breakfast retreat overlooking rolling countryside and wild Fleurieu Coast. Dinner at the Links Lady Bay resort.
Day 2: Explore one of South Australia’s most beautiful and untouched nature reserves at Deep Creek Conservation Park. Take a guided walk along the 3km Goondoloo Ridge Trail to see a plethora of native animals, stunning flora and spectacular coastal views across to Kangaroo Island. Next stop is remote Blowhole Creek Beach, overlooking Kangaroo Island. Enjoy a 4WD experience like no other, traversing a dry and dusty trail down to one of the most wild and isolated beaches on the Fleurieu Peninsula. At Blowhole Creek Beach you’ll walk on the famous Heysen Trail, which skirts the cliff line and provides raw views of Blowhole Creek Beach and the Southern Ocean. After a short walk on the Heysen Trail enjoy a picnic hamper of local produce from the back of a Land Rover Discovery accompanied by a cleansing ale or cold glass of sparkling, all looking across beautiful Blowhole Creek Beach.
