Situated on the water’s edge in the old port of Goolwa, the Fleurieu Distillery makes award winning whisky with expressive maple and vanilla oak overtones mixed with spicy sea-air aromas.

Take lunch at the Flying Fish Cafe on the idyllic beach front at Horseshoe Bay, Port Elliot. The Flying Fish is an iconic beachside eatery providing some of the freshest seafood on the Peninsula. Enjoy lunch looking out over Horseshoe Bay. After lunch we’ll take a path around the Horseshoe Bay heads to see the Southern Ocean, dramatic granite cliffs and the occasional humpback whale!

We’ll then head off to Victor Harbor to visit the original port where the capital of South Australia was first destined. Take a drive around Encounter Bay before heading to the Bluff Lookout for a scenic look at the spectacular Southern Ocean coastline.

Then we'll drive inland through some of the the highest and most beautiful beef cattle country on the Fleurieu, before coasting down the other side of the Peninsula to see views across to Kangaroo Island.

Capping the day off, we’ll enjoy a sunset beach drive (tide permitting). Silver Sands is a famous strip of beach taking in majestic views of the Fleurieu coastline and spectacular biodiversity, you’ll glide along effortlessly as the sun sets over Gulf St Vincent.
